Don’t take our word for it! See what other learners have got to say

The trainer is clearly a master of his craft and is excellent at bringing learning points home with very practical illustrations that are easy to relate with.  Very courteous and supportive staff. Great experience with HARRYBAKER Training!

Team Lead, Mail Services, NSE

Although I wrote the exam about 6 months after, it was easy to refer to my notes and other materials provided after the class. They were very helpful in guiding me through the application process no matter the time I called at absolutely no cost. I’m excited that I was able to pass the exam in one sitting.

Structural Administrative Officer, SOAR

The Team at Harrybaker was excellent in their faculty and delivery for the Change Management Certification program. I could hear Deji Ariyo’s voice in my head as I worked through my exam and was glad to see my final results. Super well done!

Group Executive, HR & Administration at Greenwich Trust Limited

The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. He delivered the training in full detail using practical illustrations and personal experiences in the field. Course materials provided were in simple, easy to grasp format and further learning materials were also provided for continuous learning.

Consultant, EY

I didn’t take it seriously until after the course that I started listening to the classes in the LMS that I got to realize how my trainer breaks down every detail from initiation to closing as if he was training an elementary student. In the over 4 hours examination, it’s like I kept hearing Deji’s voice telling me the answers the same way he teaches in class.

Quality Assurance Specialist, Crestron Electronics

They have been my go-to resource for knowledge on my project management career journey and I have never looked back ever since. From the quality of the customer service, the design of the daily lessons, learning aids, the learning management system, and quality of the delivery is second to none.

PMP, an acronym for Project Management Professional is the world's most popular project management qualification. The PMP certification is evidence of your experience and ability in leading and managing projects.

The exam curriculum focuses on three domains which are:

  • People: Focusing on the leadership skill required to manage a team effectively.
  • Process: bordering on the technical aspects of successfully managing projects.
  • Business Environment: emphasizing the link between projects, organizational strategy and the wider business environment

The new PMP includes the Predictive (waterfall), Agile and Hybrid key approaches. To know more about PMP, visit our ‘What is PMP?’ page.

Although the PMP exam has prerequisites, our training does not. The following gives an overview of the PMP exam prerequisites

  • A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education
  • Four-year degree
  • 4,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education

If you do not meet these requirements, you can do either of the following:

Enrol for the CAPM:

The CAPM is a project management certification by PMI that is not as demanding as PMP. The prerequisites for the CAPM exam include:

  • A secondary diploma (high school diploma/global equivalent)
  • 23 hours of project management education.

Both PMP and CAPM are based on the PMBoK. The only difference is the way their exams are structured. So, if you are interested in the CAPM certification, all you need to do is to enrol for our PMP/CAP training and register for the CAPM exam afterwards.

Enrol for the PRINCE2 training and exam

The PRINCE2 qualification is a globally recognised qualification for project managers. The PRINCE2 certification is in two stages; PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner. Taking the Foundation exam does not require any prerequisites. Also, taking the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam only requires that you have a PRINCE2 Foundation or PMP certification.

To know more about the PRINCE2, please visit our PRINCE2 page

The benefits of the PMP qualification are numerous; some of which are:

  • It acts as proof of your project management knowledge and experience on a global level.
  • It improves your earning potential. According to PMI’s most recent Project Management Salary Survey 11th Edition, certified Project Managers earn 22% higher on average than their non-certified counterparts.
  • It immensely increases your self-confidence.

To know more about how the PMP qualification will benefit you, see our ‘PMP benefits’ page.

The following highlights some of the benefits of PMP to any organisation

  • Customer retention: it encourages the delivery of quality products that are valuable to your customers which would lead to repeat customers
  • Adaptability: PMP provides a skill set that is globally recognised and is transferable across a variety of industries.
  • Risk management: PMP provides you with a toolset for identifying and responding to unplanned events (risk) that might affect the outcome of your project. If the risk is positive, then you will be able to take advantage of it. Whereas, if the risk is negative, you will be able to minimize its impact on your project.

Please click here to learn more.

If successful in the exam, you will get both the electronic and the hard copy of your certificate from PMI, the PMP coordinating body.

Before delving into the difference between CAPM and PMP, let's talk about the similarities. The two qualifications are based upon the PMBok and they are both offered by PMI.

The difference lies in what individuals considering them are expected to know. With CAPM, you are expected to have a fair appreciation of what project management is all about while with PMP, you are expected to have the knowledge, skills and experience in project management.

Their difference can easily be understood by considering the way the two exams are structured. While the CAPM exam questions are knowledge-based, the PMP exam questions are scenario-based.

Please click here to learn bout these two qualifications.

To register for the PMP exam, the first step is to create an account with Project Management Institute. To do this, go to click on register at the top right-hand corner of the webpage, provide basic information about yourself, then create a username and password for your account.

After creating an account, log in using your username and password. Then, apply for the PMP or CAPM credential on your page.

Fill out the application and submit it. Your application can either be approved, selected for audit or not

If your application is approved, you will be asked to pay the exam fees.

Please click here for an extensive guide on how to register for the PMP exam

According to the PMI, there will be a global demand for over 15 million project managers across all areas of the industry in coming years
