What is PMP?
PMP stands for ‘Project Management Professional’. It is a global certification for project management that validates your project management expertise and experience.
The PMP certification is based on the PMBoK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) which is a standard used in managing projects. The PMBoK is drawn from lessons and experiences of thousands of project management professionals around the world. The PMP certification is owned and coordinated by the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA.
PMP as a Project Management certification course is one of the most popular certifications that professionals are interested in gaining around the world. This is clearly reflected in the number of professionals around the world who sit the PMP exam on a yearly basis. The PMP certification is intended for experienced professionals to demonstrate their project management skills. The PMP qualification is not for beginners.
