Agile Project Management (AgilePM) qualification

Agile Business Consortium owns the Agile Project Management (AgilePM) qualification. APMG International is the examination institute that accredits AgilePM  qualification.

The Agile Project Management qualification is in two levels – Foundation and Practitioner.

Overview

This level is for those who want to learn and understand the AgilePM framework. In other words, it is for those who are new to agile environments. This certification proves that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the AgilePM framework. In addition, it shows that you can work with an agile team or be a member of an agile team.

Prerequisites/eligibility

There are no formal pre-requisites for this level.

Target Audience

  •  Project managers
  •  Agile team members who want to become Agile Project Managers
  •  Individuals who want to get the AgilePM Practitioner certificate
  •  Anyone who is interested in learning and understanding Agile Project Management

Exam Format

  •  Multiple choice format
  •  50 questions
  •  40 minutes duration
  •  Pass score: 25 (50%)
  •  Closed book

How to get certified

Getting certified requires that you sit and pass the AgilePM Foundation exam. There are no requirements for sitting the exam. However, it is advisable that you attend training before you sit the exam.

Harrybaker Training is accredited by Agile Business Consortium through APMG International to conduct AgilePM Foundation training and exam.

Recertification

AgilePM does not require any recertification.

Overview

This level is for those who want to demonstrate that they understand and can apply the AgilePM framework. In addition, it proves that you have expert knowledge in agile principles.

Prerequisites/eligibility

To sit the AgilePM Foundation exam, you must have one of the following:

  •  AgilePM Foundation certificate or
  •  DSDM Atern Foundation certificate or
  •  DSDM Advanced Practitioner certificate

However, there are no requirements for attending training.

Target Audience

  •  Project managers
  •  Holders of AgilePM Foundation certificate
  •  Agile team members who want to become Agile Project Managers
  •  Anyone who is interested in learning and understanding Agile Project Management

Exam Format

  •  Complex multiple choice format
  •  4 questions per paper (20 marks per question)
  •  2 hours 30 mins duration
  •  Pass score: 40 (50%)
  •  Open-book (AgilePM Handbook only)

How to get certified

Getting certified requires that you sit and pass the AgilePM Practitioner exam. It is advisable that you attend training before sitting the exam.

Recertification

AgilePM Practitioner certificate is valid for 5 years. To maintain a ‘Registered Practitioner Status’, you must re-sit the AgilePM Practitioner exam between 3 to 5 years after initial certification. After the 5-year period, your certificate will still be valid. However, if you do not re-sit the exam, you will lose your ‘Registered’ status.
